Back in Verona, the international exhibition of MBE Motor Bike Expo 2017, entirely dedicated to motorcycles. Born for the custom bikes, today it is the main event of this sector on the Italian scene and beyond. Infant, now is an unmissable event.
So, fans from all over the world reached the Venetian city to admire all kinds of bikes, from customs to cafe racers, bobbers, scramblers, brats, choppers, sport bikes, nakeds, tourings and off-roads. There was something for all tastes; enough to satisfy every wish in terms of two wheels (MBE Motor Bike Expo: the 2018 edition can be found here).
The art of personalization
Protagonists of the contest were the special works; skilled customizers presented their creations to the public, showing the art of customization.
In particular, ASSO Special Bike with his “Atomic Snail” was the customizer that most impressed me; in fact his bike has won the “best of show” award in the LowRide contest at MBE Motor Bike Expo.
Also the BMW restyling area was very fascinating, a pavilion dedicated to the special mechanics of BMW. Above all, the realizations of South Garage Motor CO. with their “Nerboruta” (BMW R75/7), “Negrita” (Triumph Bonneville), “Kimera” (HD 883) and “Opera” (HD), just to mention some, but also the latest creation of Garage OC “Adventure”, a very stylish sidecar; mahogany and aluminum the precious materials used for manufacturing.
Also, there were some builders like Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Indian, Kawasaki, Moto Guzzi, Royal Enfield, Ducati, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha; they presented new models.
MBE Motor Bike Expo 2017 – Il Ferro dell’Anno
The kermesse was completed by shows, contests, tourism, clothing and accessories, but in particular by “Il Ferro dell’Anno”, a contest dedicated to special works built by professionals or amateurs, and by LowRide “BikeShow”, the official bike show of MBE Motor Bike Expo, Italian Championship of Custom Bike Building.
Terence Hill selling his Harley
Among the curiosities, the celebrations of Wild Hog 20 years of activity. Terence Hill, movie icon but also a great lover of motorcycles, blew out the candles. Its HD Deluxe was on show in the stand surrounded by many accessories that bear the actor’s name.
MBE Motor Bike Expo 2017 Girls
Naturally at the MBE Motor Bike Expo obviously you couldn’t miss the beautiful girls with their looks that charmed visitors.
The rock notes of Virgin Radio were the background.
The trade fair was also the best occasion to combine a visit to the evocative places of Romeo and Juliet, but this will be another story.
